Norman Ebenstein founded Capital Commercial Properties in 1961 and served as the company’s President and CEO for more than 50 years. Over the course of his leadership, he steadily grew the business through the acquisition, development, and strategic management of shopping centers and other commercial real estate assets.

Norman graduated from Brown University in 1950 with a degree in Economics, where he played varsity baseball and met his future wife, Shirley. He later earned his Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law. Throughout their 65-year marriage, Norman and Shirley raised two children, Douglas and Jaime, as well as countless beloved Labrador Retrievers.

Norman passed away in 2016, leaving a legacy built on integrity, vision, and steady growth—carried forward by his son Douglas and later joined by his granddaughters, Lisa and Lori.
